ROLE:
As part of Consumer Pay team, you will be the owner of revenue growth initiatives and monetization strategies. The role would involve end-to-end responsibility for identifying revenue opportunities, designing and executing experiments to drive top-line growth, analyzing performance metrics, and taking data-driven decisions to scale successful initiatives. You will work closely with product, marketing, and analytics teams to maximize revenue potential while maintaining a keen focus on subscriber value and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue Strategy & Growth:
- Identify and evaluate new revenue streams and monetization opportunities across the subscription ecosystem.
- Design and execute revenue growth experiments with clear hypotheses and success metrics. Use a combination of data analytics and business insights to identify high-value opportunities and prioritize initiatives.
Subscription Monetization:
- Drive revenue optimization through strategic pricing experiments, packaging innovations, and value proposition enhancements.
- Develop and implement subscription strategies to maximize customer lifetime value (LTV) and average revenue per user (ARPU).
- Oversee and ensure effective communication of offerings across user touchpoints to drive conversion and revenue impact.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Analyse performance metrics and translate data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Track initiative performance, iterate based on learnings, and continuously optimize against revenue KPIs.
- Build business cases and present recommendations to senior leadership with clear revenue impact projections.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Creative teams to design and launch revenue growth initiatives.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment on revenue goals and execution priorities. Collaborate with Business Insights team to develop frameworks for measuring and reporting revenue impact.
Business Ownership:
- Own revenue targets and drive accountability for outcomes with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Understand revenue & cost dynamics deeply and make trade-off decisions to optimize business outcomes.
- Take initiative to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive execution independently.
REQUIREMENTS:
- We are looking for a well-rounded candidate with 4-6 years of work experience. The candidate has to be a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
- Engineer from Tier 1 college (IIT/NIT/BITS or similar institutions) with 4-6 years of experience working in Business, Revenue Growth, or Monetization roles in new age companies working in the domain of Music, OTT, Entertainment, Media, Gaming, E-commerce, Travel or Telecom
- Self-starter, proactive and enthusiastic individual with a can do, will do attitude and strong sense of business ownership
- Excellent number crunching skills and quantitative aptitude to analyze complex business problems and derive actionable insights
- Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical capabilities. Working knowledge of SQL is an added advantage but not mandatory
- Ability to think strategically about revenue opportunities while maintaining focus on execution and measurable outcomes
- Strong understanding of subscription business models, revenue metrics (LTV, ARPU, conversion rates), and monetization strategies
- The person has to be extremely proactive and passionate about their work, should understand revenue & cost dynamics and should work with an ownership mentality
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in designing and executing experiments, building business cases, and presenting insights to leadership
