Job Description :
The Deputy Manager FP&A will support the organization's financial planning cycles, business performance analysis, and management reporting. This role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with SAP, financial modeling, and P&L analysis. The candidate will work closely with crossfunctional teams to provide insights that drive operational and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L (Profit & Loss) Analysis
- Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L reports with meaningful variance commentary.
- Analyze revenue, gross margins, OPEX, and EBITDA movements to identify key business drivers.
- Assist in performance trend analysis to support senior management decisions.
- Ensure accurate data reconciliation across SAP, Excel models, and reporting tools.
2. Reporting & Financial Modeling
- Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and margin analysis.
- Prepare management dashboards, MIS reports, and business review decks.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic projects or performance deep-dives.
3. OPEX Management
- Support the preparation of annual OPEX budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Track actuals vs. budget, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Work with cost center owners to review, rationalize, and monitor departmental expenses.
- Contribute to rolling forecasts and scenario-based financial planning.
4. Costing & Margin Analysis
- Perform product costing and margin analysis across business segments.
- Identify cost variances, profitability gaps, and provide insights for improvement.
- Support pricing decisions by evaluating cost structures for existing and new products.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales to optimize cost efficiency.
5. SAP & Advanced Excel Expertise
- Extract and validate financial data using SAP modules and reporting tools.
- Build complex Excel-based models using pivots, lookups, and advanced formulas.
- Streamline data processes, enhance reporting automation, and ensure data accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills
- CA Finance preferred (or equivalent professional qualification).
- 23 years of relevant experience in FP&A, costing, or management reporting.
- Strong command of Excel, financial modeling, and analytical techniques.
- Working knowledge of SAP (FI/CO or relevant modules).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage tight timelines.
