Job Title
Purchase Manager / Deputy Manager – Decorative Paper, Kraft Paper & Consumables (HPL), RECON Veneers
Role Summary
Responsible for
direct procurement of Decorative Paper, Kraft Paper, and Consumables for
HPL / laminate manufacturing, RECON Veneers, covering
domestic and import sourcing,
vendor relationship management,
vendor de-risking,
analytics-driven procurement,
new design development ownership,
cost optimization, and
regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct purchase of Decorative Paper, Kraft Paper, and Consumables for HPL / Laminates/ RECON Veneers
- Procurement of consumables including packing paper, protective films, BOPP films
- Import procurement and domestic sourcing with direct supplier engagement
- Vendor relationship management (VRM) including performance reviews, capability building, and long-term partnerships
- New vendor development, alternate sourcing, multi-vendor strategy, and supply risk de-risking
- Ownership of new design development (NPD / NDD) procurement cycle from sourcing to bulk readiness
- Cross-functional coordination with Design, R&D, QA, PPC, Production
- Price negotiation, rate contracts, MOQs, and lead-time optimization
- Procurement analytics: demand analysis, spend analysis, price trends, and supplier performance dashboards
- Inventory analytics to prevent stockouts and dead stock; safety stock and reorder optimization
- Compliance management covering import regulations, customs, ESG, supplier compliance, and internal SOPs
- Handling quality issues, claims, corrective actions, and supplier escalations
- Management of import documentation, Incoterms, LC / advance payments, CHA coordination
- ERP / SAP-based procurement execution, MIS reporting, and audit readiness

Education
Graduate in Engineering / Materials / Supply Chain / Operations
MBA (Operations / SCM) preferred
Experience
5–12 years in
Decorative Paper, Kraft Paper, and Consumables procurement within
HPL / laminate / panel / allied manufacturing industries
Strong experience in
import sourcing, vendor development, and compliance-driven procurement
