The Opportunity:

An exceptional career opportunity for innovative, committed, and forward-looking individual to create transformational value in Nickel Business.

  • As the Procurement Lead for the Nickel business, you will own end‑to‑end sourcing of nickel intermediates, chemicals, alloys, and critical consumables, ensuring uninterrupted operations through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, long‑term contracting, and decisive cost optimization.
  • He / She will lead supplier evaluation and onboarding across global and domestic markets, conduct techno‑commercial negotiations, and manage contract execution with strong governance over pricing, INCOTERMS, payment terms, risk allocation, claims, renewals, and dispute resolution.
  • He / She will oversee inbound logistics and inventory management for imported and domestic materials, coordinating port operations, clearance, warehousing, and freight to deliver zero production disruption, optimal inventory levels, and seamless material flow in close collaboration with operations, planning, and finance teams.
  • He / She will leverage market intelligence, LME trends, spend analytics, and should‑cost models to drive savings, strengthen negotiations, manage budget variance, ensure ESG‑aligned responsible sourcing, and build long‑term strategic partnerships with suppliers and logistics partners.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree (BE/B.Tech) in chemical, mechanical, or electrical. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in nickel manufacturing or related industries.
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding of nickel manufacturing, materials, and specifications to drive informed sourcing and effective techno‑commercial negotiations.
  • Proven record of leading large‑scale strategic sourcing and supply chain operations, delivering cost optimization, supply assurance, and continuous performance improvement.
