Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced o9 IBP Solution Architect (Senior / SME) to act as a trusted advisor and technical leader for enterprise-scale IBP implementations. This role requires a strong blend of technical architecture expertise and functional IBP knowledge, with hands-on experience in designing and governing scalable o9 tenants.
Key Responsibilities
1. IBP Tenant Architecture & Solution Design
- Serve as the trusted o9 IBP Tenant SME
- Define and validate overall IBP tenant architecture, including:
- Tenant separation and integration (IBP Demand Supply)
- Data models, hierarchies, measures, and planning BOMs
- Security framework, roles, and access controls
- Ensure alignment with o9 reference architecture, scalability, and performance best practices
2. IBP Process Enablement (Techno-Functional)
- Translate business IBP requirements into o9 configurations across:
- Demand Review
- Supply & Inventory Review
- Product Review
- Financial / reconciliation views (where applicable)
- Enable capabilities such as:
- Family-level and global forecasting
- Scenario planning and simulations
- Consensus-driven workflows
- Provide guidance on optimal functional boundaries (IBP vs Demand/Supply planning) to avoid over-engineering
3. Design Review, Impact & Risk Assessment
- Review enhancements across:
- Models, hierarchies, calculations, workflows, dashboards
- Batch execution, sizing, and performance tuning
- Deliver clear impact assessments including:
- Release and upgrade implications
- Data volume and system performance risks
- Architectural trade-offs and alternative solutions
4. Implementation Oversight & Quality Assurance
- Partner with stakeholders through:
- Blueprinting
- Build phase
- UAT and deployment
- Ensure solutions are enterprise-grade, scalable, and future-proof
5. Knowledge Transfer & Tenant Governance
- Develop internal capability through:
- Architecture documentation and runbooks
- Design walkthroughs and working sessions
- Office hours for troubleshooting and advisory
- Recommend governance frameworks including:
- Change management processes
- Design standards
- Reusable patterns across planning domains
6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary o9 IBP architecture point of contact
- Collaborate closely with:
- Business planning teams
- IT and enterprise architecture teams
- o9 product stakeholders (for roadmap alignment)
- Communicate complex technical concepts in business-friendly language
Minimum Qualifications
- Senior Techno-Functional Solution Architect with strong domain expertise
- Hands-on experience with o9 IBP implementations (beyond Demand/Supply modules)
- Proven track record in designing enterprise-scale IBP tenants
- Deep understanding of IBP processes (not just system configuration)
- Ability to operate in a hybrid advisory + hands-on role
