Role Overview
Simplify Healthcare is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise healthcare solutions across our Payer and Provider business units. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in US healthcare — spanning payer and provider relations, plan management, provider data, claims processing, and benefits administration — combined with the ability to connect seamlessly with engineering teams, Product Owners, QA engineers, and Business Analysts to ensure successful, on-time delivery of complex implementations.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role that demands both strategic oversight and hands-on engagement. The Delivery Manager will be the central point of accountability across multiple delivery tracks, translating business requirements into technical outcomes while maintaining stakeholder confidence at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership
- Own end-to-end delivery of healthcare solution implementations across payer and provider segments.
- Define delivery roadmaps, project plans, and milestone schedules aligned to client expectations and business goals.
- Manage scope, timelines, and risk across concurrent delivery workstreams.
- Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination in Agile delivery frameworks.
Cross-Functional Team Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison between engineering teams, Product Owners (POs), QA engineers, and Business Analysts (BAs) to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the SDLC.
- Facilitate estimation sessions, design reviews, and solution walkthroughs to ensure accurate scoping and feasibility.
- Remove blockers, resolve cross-team dependencies, and escalate risks proactively.
- Champion delivery best practices — including Definition of Done, acceptance criteria hygiene, and regression coverage.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the trusted delivery partner for client stakeholders, translating business needs into executable solutions.
- Lead client status calls, steering committee meetings, and executive briefings.
- Manage client expectations around timelines, dependencies, and change requests with transparency and professionalism.
- Ensure client satisfaction through structured feedback loops and proactive issue resolution.
Healthcare Domain Execution
- Apply deep understanding of US payer and provider processes — including provider data management, credentialing, benefits configuration, claims workflows, and network management — to inform delivery decisions.
- Interpret payer-provider contractual obligations, fee schedule structures, and regulatory requirements (CAQH, NPPES, NCQA, CMS) when scoping and delivering solutions.
- Collaborate with domain SMEs and solution architects to validate that delivered functionality meets healthcare-specific compliance standards.
Estimation & Solution Design
- Lead effort estimation for new features, integrations, and enhancements in collaboration with engineering leads and architects.
- Review and challenge technical approaches to ensure they are pragmatic, scalable, and aligned to delivery timelines.
- Contribute to solution architecture discussions and support pre-sales or renewal efforts with delivery sizing inputs.
Required Qualifications
Domain Knowledge
- 12+ years of experience in IT delivery within the US healthcare industry — specifically in payer and/or provider domains.
- Strong understanding of payer-provider relationships: provider enrolment, credentialing, network adequacy, fee schedules, and contract management.
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulatory frameworks: HL7, EDI 837/835, CAQH ProView, NPPES NPI, HIPAA, CMS guidelines.
- Exposure to payer systems such as FACETS, QNXT, or similar plan administration platforms is a strong advantage.
- Working knowledge of benefits administration — plan configuration, member-provider relationships, and claims adjudication flows.
Delivery & Program Management
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise software delivery programs involving .NET, cloud (Azure/AWS), and data-driven healthcare platforms.
- Proven track record of leading Agile/Scrum delivery teams and facilitating cross-functional ceremonies.
- Strong estimation skills — ability to lead sizing workshops and produce reliable delivery forecasts.
- Experience managing client implementations with structured change control and stakeholder communication processes.
Technical Acumen
- Ability to engage confidently with engineering and architecture teams on technical design, integration patterns, and platform decisions.
- Comfortable reviewing and challenging API specifications, data models, and solution designs — without needing to write code directly.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar delivery management platforms.
Communication & Leadership
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored for both technical and business audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust with client stakeholders and navigate complex, multi-party delivery environments.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and hold accountable cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering solutions on Provider Data Management (PDM) or Provider Information Management (PIM) platforms.
- Exposure to AI/ML integrations in healthcare workflows or data automation initiatives.
- PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent delivery certification.
- Prior consulting or SaaS delivery experience in a healthcare technology company.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, data ingestion pipelines, or analytics platforms in healthcare contexts.
