DBA Oracle

Roles and Responsibilities:

Database Administration & Management:

• Create, configure, and maintain databases across ExaCC, AWS RDS/EC2, Azure ExaCC, and Oracle Exadata platforms.
• Coordinate database upgrades, hardware patching, and collaborate with Oracle Support.
• Work with architects and data management teams to ensure data retention policies are enforced.
• Implement backup policies/SLAs based on stakeholder requirements.

Security & Compliance:

• Enable database auditing and reporting in collaboration with security teams.
• Support ransomware drills twice a year, including full database restoration in clean rooms.
• Implement and support encryption, masking, and secure database access controls.
• Support cyber recovery, anomaly detection, and data threat analytics initiatives.

Automation & DevOps Integration:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Perl, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, and API integrations.
• Integrate database operations with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CloudBees Jenkins and GitHub.
• Review new solutions and upcoming projects, providing database expertise.

Collaboration & Change Management:

• Follow enterprise Change Management procedures for all production-level changes.
• Coordinate with Cloud, Application, and Production Support teams to maintain optimal system configurations.
• Participate in strategy, policy, and best practice development for database management.
• Participate in on-call rotations for production support.
