About HRIDAY
HRIDAY is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to promote sustainable health, particularly among youth, in multiple settings including schools, colleges, workplaces, and the community at large. HRIDAY engages in multi-disciplinary research, capacity building and undertakes campaigns linked to the prevention and control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). HRIDAY addresses NCDs from a health and development perspective, particularly in the context of Goal 3.4 under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Job Description
The
Data Manager will be responsible for managing, cleaning, validating, and analysing research and programme data at HRIDAY to ensure high standards of data quality and integrity. The role includes maintaining databases, supporting statistical analysis, generating data summaries and reports, and assisting research teams in data-driven documentation, publications, and technical outputs. The position requires close coordination with programme and research teams, with responsibility for ensuring timely, accurate, and well-organised data management across activities.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Manage and maintain research and programme databases
- Ensure data quality, consistency, validation, and cleaning
- Support preparation of analysis plans, data summaries, and statistical outputs
- Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses
- Generate tables, charts, and reports for internal and external use
- Support research teams in data-driven documentation, manuscripts, and technical reports
- Coordinate with programme and research staff for timely data compilation and review
- Undertake any other data/statistical tasks assigned by the organisation
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's degree (MSc) in Biostatistics / Statistics / Health Statistics / allied quantitative disciplines
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant work experience after Master's degree
- Strong experience in data management, statistical analysis, and reporting
- Prior experience in public health/health research / epidemiological data systems will be preferred
Experience Required
The candidate should have hands-on experience in:
- Data management and quality assurance
- Statistical analysis of public health / health research datasets
- Preparing data for research reports, publications, and presentations
- Working with large datasets, survey data, and/or epidemiological datasets
- Supporting research teams in study design, analysis plans, and data interpretation
Required Skills
- Strong command of statistical methods and data handling
- Proficiency in software such as SPSS / STATA / R / Excel
- Good understanding of research methodology and epidemiological data
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Duration: Initially for one year, extendable based on performance and availability of projects/funds.
Joining: Immediate joining preferred
