Bachelor's degree in information management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications will be advantageous.
5-8 years of proven experience in roles related to data governance, data management, or information management.
Demonstrated experience in working with data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures with previous experience in implementing metadata management practices.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific compliance standards.
Strong analytical skills to identify data-related issues and propose effective solutions using specialized data governance tools, Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar.
Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable and comprehensive data governance policies.
Knowledge of establishing clear data ownership and stewardship responsibilities.
Proven experience in designing and implementing data quality assessment processes.
Understanding of data security principles and experience implementing data security measures.
Knowledge of access controls, encryption, and data masking techniques.
