Our Cyber Security Internship provides practical experience in protecting networks, systems, and applications from cyber threats. Interns gain exposure to both offensive and defensive security practices while working in a collaborative learning environment guided by industry mentors.
Internship OverviewAs a Cyber Security Intern, you will explore the core pillars of cybersecurity including network security, web application security, threat intelligence, vulnerability analysis, and incident response. You'll work with modern tools and simulated security environments to understand how to identify, analyze, and mitigate cyber risks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform vulnerability assessments and assist with security audits
- Analyze system and network logs to identify irregular activities
- Work with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, Nessus, Metasploit, OWASP ZAP
- Study and document cyber attack patterns, malware behavior, and threat vectors
- Assist in configuring firewalls, access control policies, and secure authentication
- Participate in Capture the Flag (CTF) labs and security simulation exercises
- Research and prepare reports on emerging cybersecurity issues
- Support incident response planning and remediation documentation
Qualifications- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, Networking, or related disciplines
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, OS fundamentals, and web applications
- Familiarity with Linux command-line and at least one scripting language (Python/Bash preferred)
- Awareness of OWASP Top 10 and common security vulnerabilities
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving approach
- Keen interest in cyber defense and ethical security practices
