Summary

As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves steering the technical vision and architectural framework for bespoke software projects. This role requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of software design and implementation, ensuring that development practices meet high standards. The lead actively shapes the project s direction by balancing innovation with practical business needs, fostering collaboration among team members, and overseeing the delivery of scalable and efficient software solutions that align with organizational goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
  • Responsible for team decisions.
  • Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
  • Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software development processes and team productivity.
  • Mentor and support junior team members to foster professional growth and skill development.

Professional & Technical Skills

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure DevOps, Microsoft Azure Hybrid Services.
  • Good To Have Skills: Experience with Cloud Data Migration.
  • Hands-on execution of on-prem to Azure VM migrations, including sizing, dependency mapping, and post-migration validation.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modules, state management, environment segregation).
  • Support Azure core services, networking, and hybrid connectivity with basic identity and access configurations.
  • Implement and operate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments with standard release and rollback controls.
  • Perform Linux system administration (patching, troubleshooting, services, permissions) and Azure IaaS VM support.
  • Configure monitoring, alerting, backup, and incident support using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Automate tasks using PowerShell and Azure CLI support configuration management via Ansible.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, clear communication, and adherence to defined architecture and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance software architectures.
  • Ability to integrate DevOps practices to streamline development, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.

Additional Information

  • The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  • This position is based at our Gurugram client office and requires to work from client location 3 days / week
  • A 15 years full time education is required.
