Summary:

You will design, configure, and enhance SAP Project System (PS) processes while leveraging AI assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate requirement analysis, configuration, planning, testing, documentation, and issue resolution. This role focuses on delivering efficient project planning, budgeting, execution, and cost control functionalities while integrating pre built AI services to improve accuracy and productivity—without any requirement for LLM training, RAG pipelines, or agentic AI system development.

Key Responsibilities:

PS Functional & Technical Delivery

Configure and support SAP PS functionalities including:

Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

Networks, Activities & Activity Types

Project Planning (Dates, Resources, Costs)

Budgeting, Availability Control & Cost Management

Progress Tracking & Confirmation

Integration with Procurement, Finance, and Controlling

Use AI copilots to accelerate:

Documentation creation (FS/TS/SOPs)

Configuration validation, planning object checks

Test case generation for WBS, budgeting, scheduling, and settlements

Lead end to end project delivery: requirements, design, configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare.

Integrate PS with MM, SD, PP, CO, FI, and third party project or scheduling tools.

AI Assisted Productivity

Apply AI copilots for:

Requirement summarization and project scope analysis

Generating WBS structures and planning templates

Running impact analysis on schedule, cost, or resource changes

Defect pattern detection in cost postings, budget control, or settlement logic

Utilize pre built AI services for enhanced PS workflows:

Predictive budget risks or schedule delays

Automated summarization of project performance and deviations

Intelligent classification of project issues and exceptions

AI augmented insights for cost variance or resource utilization

Use LLM assisted troubleshooting to reduce incident resolution time for settlement errors, network failures, or planning inconsistencies.

Governance, Controls & Collaboration

Ensure strict adherence to project governance, budget controls, audit requirements, and financial compliance policies.

Participate in workshops, walkthroughs, and project review meetings supported by AI generated insights.

Collaborate with project managers, finance controllers, procurement, engineering, and integration teams.

Contribute to reusable templates, test packs, configuration guidelines, and AI enhanced best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP PS Expertise

Hands on experience with WBS, network activities, cost planning, budgeting, progress analysis, settlements, and reporting.

Understanding of PS FI/CO integration, commitments, cost flows, and procurement triggers (PR/PO from projects).
