We are seeking a Country Manager for our India branch to lead and develop our business in the region. The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with operational leadership, taking full ownership of business performance, market growth, and team development. This role requires the ability to drive sales, build strategic partnerships, and ensure efficient execution of company strategy in the local market, while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop the overall business of the India branch, ensuring alignment with the company's strategy, business goals, and operational standards;
- Own full accountability for the India branch business performance, including revenue growth and commercial performance, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial results;
- Define and drive the market strategy in India, identifying growth opportunities, expanding market presence, and strengthening competitive positioning;
- Build and strengthen strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the market;
- Represent the company in India, enhancing brand visibility and establishing a strong market presence;
- Oversee and ensure effective execution of business operations, maintaining efficiency and alignment across commercial, operational, and support functions;
- Make key decisions related to business growth, investments, partnerships, and resource allocation in the local market;
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal procedures, and local legal and regulatory requirements;
- Work closely with the Group CEO and other regional leaders to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and execution of global strategy;
- Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations regarding business performance, risks, opportunities, and market developments;
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing local team, ensuring strong leadership, accountability, and professional growth;
- Oversee key people management processes, including hiring, organizational development, succession planning, and capability building;
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying business challenges, operational risks, and opportunities for optimization and growth.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., Country Manager, General Manager, Business Unit Head or similar);
- Strong track record of driving business growth and managing full P&L responsibility;
- Experience in developing and executing market strategies in a competitive environment;
- Solid background in B2B commercial roles, preferably in technology, IoT, telematics, or related industries;
- Strong understanding of the Indian market, including business environment, partnerships, and sales channels;
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships and lead complex negotiations;
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and scaling business operations;
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and inspire high-performing teams;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills;
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
