Bloon Toys is a design-led D2C children's brand with a strong focus on innovation in play. As a brand, we are deeply invested in redefining how play fits into modern homes and childhoods, combining principles from design, child development, and everyday usability.

Bloon Toys is currently at an important stage of growth making the transition from niche to mainstream which makes this an exciting time to join. The role will work closely with the founder and senior Marketing team to help scale growth while staying true to the brand's intent and values.Over the last year, the team has grown from 15 to 35, and expect to scale a lot more in the coming years.

Role Description

Experience: 3+ years

We're looking for a Content Strategy Lead to develop and execute content across performance marketing ads, social media and brand campaignswith a sharp understanding of how content drives both brand and performance.

This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy, copywriting, and content execution. Working closely with the Content Producer, the role will be responsible for developing and executing a content strategy that drives both brand engagement and conversion.

You'll be responsible for shaping content ideas, turning them into high-performing ads and narratives, and working closely with design and production partners to maintain a high quality bar.

Key Responsibilities

This role is central to our goal of building an iconic children's brand made in India for the world. Content is a strategic lever not just for growth marketing but brand building and category creation. You will be responsible for the following:

1. Own brand content pillars across channels

  • Build and own the brand's content calendar and drive content development across discovery channels (Meta, Pinterest, Google), social media and brand campaigns
  • Research and analyse industry trends, audience behaviour, and platform best practices to inform creative strategy
  • Develop a repository of brand content ideas and formats based on our growth strategy and advertising goals
  • Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and intent across touchpoints while adapting for platform context

2. Create content that drives growth

  • Develop ad narratives, hooks, scripts, and copy that balance brand storytelling with performance outcomes
  • Work closely with the performance marketing team to ship creatives as per a monthly calendar and iterate based on insights and results
  • Create briefs for designers and external content creators with sharp attention to consumer insight, content goals and brand guidelines
  • Review, edit, and elevate outputs to maintain a consistently high bar

3. Collaboration and Quality Control

  • Work with the CRM team to capture consumer insights and be the voice of the consumer in cross functional workstreams
  • Build and execute the content strategy for new product launches in partnership with the Product Design team
  • Plan and execute brand shoots in close collaboration with the creative team
  • Partner with external creators, production teams, and influencers to deliver content at speed and high quality bar

Who You Are

  • A culture vulture who is passionate about using content to grow an audience in an emerging category
  • You have excellent copywriting and presentation skills and a working knowledge of content editing/ design
  • You are familiar with content principles across consumer journey funnel - from organic social content to paid performance marketing content
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing Communications, English Literature, or other related fields
  • 3+ years experience working within Content Marketing on the agency or brand side. Experience working with a startup / lean content team is a plus.
