Job Role: Compliance Lead (Title may vary)

The Compliance Lead will be responsible for overseeing and governing statutory compliance across Furlenco's operations. While the organization works with a third-party compliance partner responsible for execution and fi lings, this role will own the internal governance, coordination, and tracking of all compliance activities. The role will focus on ensuring visibility, accountability, and closure of compliance requirements across payroll, establishments, factories, and vendor ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the internal owner of statutory compliance across Furlenco, ensuring adherence to all applicable labour laws and regulatory requirements across offices, warehouses, operational facilities, and vendor ecosystem.
  • Oversee the activities carried out by the third-party compliance partner responsible for statutory filings, documentation, and submissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to timelines.
  • Maintain a comprehensive compliance governance framework covering payroll, establishment, factory, and vendor compliance, with clear tracking of statutory deadlines and obligations.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders including HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely sharing of accurate inputs required for statutory compliance.
  • Monitor the validity, renewal, and maintenance of all statutory registrations, licenses, and approvals across locations to ensure there are no lapses in compliance.
  • Ensure vendor and contract labour compliance across all operational partners by coordinating documentation, monitoring adherence to statutory obligations, and driving closure of any identified gaps.
  • Support and coordinate internal and external compliance audits, labour inspections, and regulatory reviews, ensuring preparedness and smooth facilitation across locations.
  • Maintain a centralized compliance tracker and provide regular updates to leadership on compliance status, potential risks, and closure of audit observations or compliance gaps.
  • Identify compliance risks proactively and work with internal stakeholders and partners to ensure timely resolution and corrective action.
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of statutory and labour law compliance to review compliance statuses, provide informed guidance, and recommend methods and controls to ensure the organization maintains 100% statutory compliance.

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in statutory and labour law compliance.
  • Prior experience handling payroll compliance, establishment compliance, factory compliance, EHS and vendor compliance.
  • Exposure to compliance in operations-driven environments such as warehouses, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain organizations will be an advantage.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Certification or specialization in Labour Laws or Industrial Relations will be an added advantage.

Skill sets

  • Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance frameworks
  • Ability to manage compliance through structured governance and tracking mechanisms
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Ability to manage audits and regulatory inspections
  • Strong problem-solving and risk management capability
