We are looking for a committed Compliance Associate to join our Compliance department at Saxo Bank Group India Pvt Ltd. You will be part of a supportive team, primarily assisting Group Compliance and other local Compliance teams with their projects, as well as ensuring adherence to Indian laws, regulations and internal policies.
This position is placed in our independent 2nd Line Compliance function where you'll support the global Saxo Bank organization by participating in monitoring projects, conducting spot checks, and performing compliance reviews. You'll work closely with both Group and Local Compliance teams across jurisdictions..
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Monitoring and Testing Specialist with expertise in IT Compliance or IT Risk Management. The candidate will oversee that IT processes meet internal standards and comply with external regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include supporting thematic monitoring, identifying potential risks, and recommending corrective actions to uphold compliance.
Additionally, the role involves assisting with data analysis activities, leveraging SQL skills to extract, interpret, and manage compliance-related datasets for more informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Perform monitoring and advisory in areas related to IT compliance eg. configuration, access rights, cyber security, vulnerability, system design and governance and related areas.
- Performing data analysis using SQL and other data analytics techniques, including data validation, trend analysis, exception analysis, and reporting.
- Open in supporting activities of risk areas such as data protection, financial crime prevention and other risks which Saxo Bank A/S is exposed to.
- Assist in performing operating effectiveness monitoring of IT controls.
- Investigate IT compliance issues, identify risks, and help develop activity plans.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support ongoing regulatory requirements and internal policy frameworks.
- Understanding of relevant regulations of EU including GDPR, DORA, EU AI ACT, NIS2 Directive and of India including DPDP Act, Cert-In and other industry-specific standards.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and legislative changes to ensure IT systems and processes remain compliant.
- Support in implementation of compliance monitoring frameworks and methodologies.
- Analyze results and prepare detailed reports with compliance findings and recommendations.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and relevant functions while maintaining thorough documentation of all compliance monitoring and testing activities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure comprehensive compliance and risk management coverage.
- Participate in improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening the overall compliance environment.

You Possess The Following Technical Skills
- 3-4 years of experience in IT Compliance, IT Risk Management, or related areas.
- Possesses expertise and a comprehensive understanding of IT risk exposure, preferably within fintech or a financial industry.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, secure configurations, and regulatory security standards for EU and India
- Experience with IT control design and testing (preferable).
- Hands on experience using Power BI, AI tools, SQL or similar platforms for reporting or analytics.
- (Optional) Educational background in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical fields.
