Role Overview
The Compliance Analyst will support the organization in overseeing comprehensive compliance with regulations issued by the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) and other relevant regulatory authorities. The position encompasses regulatory monitoring, policy implementation, risk assessment, control testing, audits, stakeholder coordination, and the promotion of a robust compliance culture throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure the entity complies with all applicable IFSCA regulations, including licensing conditions, operational guidelines, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor regulatory updates, circulars, and notifications issued by IFSCA and other relevant authorities, and assess their impact on business operations.
- Prepare, review, and file accurate regulatory reports, returns, and disclosures within prescribed timelines.
- Maintain regulatory documentation, compliance trackers, and records to ensure ongoing adherence to approval conditions and supervisory expectations.
Policy Implementation
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of internal compliance policies and standard operating procedures in line with IFSCA requirements.
- Oversee adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) frameworks.
- Coordinate with IT and Risk teams to ensure regulatory requirements relating to data protection and information security are reflected in policies and compliance oversight.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess compliance risks arising from products, services, transactions, and operational processes.
- Support the design and implementation of risk mitigation measures and internal controls enhancements.
- Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments and assist in strengthening the overall control framework.
Monitoring and Auditing
- Conduct compliance monitoring, process reviews, and control testing; support internal and external audit processes.
- Support transaction monitoring processes to identify and escalate suspicious activities in line with AML/CFT obligations.
- Maintain detailed records of compliance reviews, investigations, audit findings, and remedial actions.
- Assist in preparation of regulatory filings to FIU-IND under PMLA Rules.Support internal audits and regulatory inspections by preparing documentation and coordinating responses.
Training and Awareness
- Assist in designing and delivering compliance training programs for employees on IFSCA regulations, AML/CFT, and internal policies.
- Promote awareness of compliance responsibilities across all levels of the organization.
- Support initiatives aimed at embedding a strong compliance culture within the organization.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Support coordination with IFSCA on routine compliance matters and regulatory submissions.
- Liaise with legal advisors, auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders on compliance-related issues.
- Support responses to regulatory queries, inspections, examinations, and investigations in a timely and structured manner.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to PSPs, fintech's, or financial institutions
- Working knowledge of IFSCA regulations, AML/CFT laws, and regulatory reporting
- Strong analytical, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into operational requirements and controls
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Company Secretary (CS), or Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management.
- 2–5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management within financial services, fintech, or payments
- Prior exposure to regulatory authorities or regulated entities is preferred
