Role Description
We are looking for a chef who can work in bakery and savory cooking—someone comfortable moving between production and flavour creation. This role involves working closely with the founders to develop and execute a savory menu that complements our existing offerings.
Key ResponsibilitiesMenu Development- Collaborate on creating and refining a savory menu including pies, tarts, and other baked formats
- Develop fillings using meat, vegetables, and balanced seasoning profiles
- Contribute ideas for seasonal and signature items
Kitchen Operations- Oversee day-to-day savory production while maintaining consistency and quality
- Ensure efficient prep, portioning, and minimal wastage
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards
Bakery & Pastry Integration- Work with existing bakery team to align savory items with pastry techniques
- Handle basic doughs, fillings, and baking processes as needed
- Support cross-functional production (pies, tarts, hybrid products)
Quality & Innovation- Maintain the brand's commitment to from-scratch production
- Continuously refine recipes based on feedback and operational feasibility
- Balance creativity with scalability
Candidate ProfileMust-Have- Experience as a chef in a professional kitchen
- Strong understanding of flavor building, seasoning, and fillings
- Comfortable working with both vegetarian and meat-based preparations
- Ability to work hands-on in a small-batch environment
Good to Have- Interest or experience in bakery and pastry
- Experience with savory baked products (pies, quiches, tarts, etc.)
- Previous involvement in menu development
