Role Overview: This is an entry-level position ideal for someone starting their culinary career. The role is primarily focused on hot kitchen and savory preparation, with the opportunity to learn and work alongside our bakery and pastry team.
Key Responsibilities
Hot Kitchen and Savoury Preparation
- Assist in preparation of savoury fillings (vegetarian and meat-based)
- Work on basic cooking processes including sautéing, seasoning, and prep
- Support production of items like pies, tarts, and other savoury bakes
Kitchen Operations
- Follow standard recipes and maintain consistency
- Assist with prep, portioning, and daily kitchen tasks
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards
Bakery and Pastry
- Work closely with the bakery team to learn basic pastry and baking techniques
- Assist in assembling and baking products when required
- Gain exposure to dough handling, fillings, and baking processes
Requirements
Must Have:
- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts
- Basic experience or training in hot kitchen operations
- Strong interest in cooking and food preparation
- Willingness to work with both vegetarian and meat ingredients
Preferred:
- Internship or training experience in a professional kitchen
- Interest in bakery and pastry (prior experience not mandatory)
