- Analyze existing batch and online mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IMS.
- Ability to understand and explain/document the functionality by analyzing the mainframe source code.
- Perform impact analysis.
- Strong hands‑on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM.
- Knowledge of SQL and data modeling.
- Experience with batch processing, scheduling tools and performance tuning.
- Good understanding of z/OS environment and mainframe utilities.
- Basic Knowledge of Mainframe Modernization Concepts.
- Basic Knowledge in using GitHub.
- Basic to advanced understanding of AI/ML concepts.
- Experience working with Python or any other scripting language for automation will be an advantage.
- Adaptable to new technologies.
- Good in communication.
