About The Role

The Supervisor II, Application Data & Cloud Security at Cargill plays a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. This leadership position involves overseeing a team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures across multi-cloud environments, SaaS, and PaaS platforms. The role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of application, data, and cloud security domains, capable of translating security capabilities into operational services that align with business objectives. The supervisor will act as a key interface between security teams, technology stakeholders, and service consumers, fostering collaboration and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence security operations at a global scale, driving innovation, standardization, and automation to enhance security posture and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, typically including 5 or more years in security or technology operations within large enterprise environments.
  • Broad domain knowledge across Application Security, Data Security, and Cloud Security.
  • Extensive experience in managing transactional, request-based security services at scale.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management principles, including service intake, SLAs, workflows, metrics, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to deliver security solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within product-aligned security organizations delivering services as consumable offerings.
  • Familiarity with security tooling and platforms across application, data, and cloud environments.
  • Experience in driving service automation and enabling self-service capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage operational data for decision-making.
  • A service-oriented mindset combined with operational discipline and a focus on customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of transactional security services across application, data, and cloud platforms, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
  • Act as the operational owner for security service intake, fulfillment, and performance management, ensuring services meet agreed-upon standards and SLAs.
  • Partner with security product owners to translate security capabilities into well-defined operational services that align with business needs.
  • Align security service delivery with evolving security strategies, risk considerations, and organizational priorities.
  • Serve as a primary interface between security teams, technology stakeholders, and service consumers to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor service demand, throughput, and quality metrics, utilizing data analytics to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive standardization, simplification, and automation of security service delivery processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  • Promote a customer-centric, service-oriented approach focused on transparency, efficiency, and delivering value.
  • Set clear expectations with stakeholders regarding service scope, timelines, and expected outcomes, maintaining open communication channels.
  • Provide comprehensive visibility into service performance, trends, and ongoing improvement initiatives through regular reporting and dashboards.
  • Represent security services in cross-functional discussions related to operations, delivery, and strategic planning.
