Software Engineer Principal- Cloud Platform :
Experience : 5 years to 14 years
Location : Hyderabad
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining our internal cloud platform, providing a self-service experience for our development teams, and ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automation solutions to help streamline processes, such as creating scripts or programs designed to run specific tasks on computer systems automatically
- Monitoring the performance of cloud computing systems in real time to ensure high availability and efficient performance
- Prioritize and work on tickets that are opened by automated alerting opened by various groups that relate to server networkstorage issues
- Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns amenable to long-term solutions
- Develop and maintain IaC templates and modules using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions to automate application build, test, and deployment processes.
- Implement and manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestrate them with platforms like Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Act as a technical partner to development teams, providing guidance, documentation, and tools that reduce their operational burden and enable them to move faster.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and global teams to ensure continuous and reliable delivery of service
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Experience in Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience in AWS and Azure services
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred).
- Deep knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, DNS, firewalls).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Certification in one of the major cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to analyze complex estates and assure that delivery progresses on time
- Experience in debugging and problem determination
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
