About the Role
Zywave is looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Platform team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement best practices, optimize cloud operations, and ensure reliable and cost-efficient infrastructure for our global SaaS products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control workflows.
- Configure and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads.
- Manage networking components including DNS, firewalls, VPCs, and security groups.
- Write and maintain automation scripts using Bash.
- Monitor cloud resources, performance, and availability; troubleshoot issues and optimize costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for cloud security, scalability, and resilience.
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and governance for cloud operations.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code/review sessions as needed.
Must-Have Skills
- AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, CloudWatch)
- Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Kubernetes cluster deployment and management
- Git and version-control workflows
- Networking Skills: DNS, firewalls, VPC, routing, security groups
- Scripting: Bash (automation, monitoring, and deployment scripts)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Prompt Engineering / AI-assisted workflows
- Azure Cloud Services

Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field (preferred)
