Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS Engineer with 46 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud platforms, Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, and modern CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate should have strong architectural understanding, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires someone who can design, develop, automate, and support AWS infrastructure, while ensuring adherence to security, governance, and operational best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Architecture & Collaboration
- Architect scalable and secure solutions on AWS.
- Conduct discovery sessions with application teams to understand design and technical requirements.
- Interpret business objectives and translate them into actionable infrastructure blueprints.
Requirement Gathering
- Facilitate detailed requirement sessions with stakeholders across teams.
- Align cloud infrastructure goals with business and development needs.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Design, build, and maintain Terraform IaC modules.
- Ensure modularity, reusability, and version-controlled code.
- Manage infrastructure across multiple environments (Dev, Test, Staging, Production).
- Implement automated testing and validation for Terraform modules.
- Review Terraform code and enforce standards.
CI/CD Pipeline Engineering
- Develop, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate Terraform workflows (plan, apply, destroy) through pipelines.
- Integrate infrastructure deployments with application delivery pipelines where needed.
Cloud Security & Governance
- Ensure compliance with AWS security benchmarks and organizational policies.
- Apply correct tagging standards, permissions, IAM roles, and governance frameworks.
- Maintain secure and compliant infrastructure across all environments.
Documentation & Support
- Keep documentation updated for IaC modules, pipelines, and processes.
- Conduct knowledge transfer and handover sessions to internal teams.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure deployment issues and provide ongoing operational support.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC).
- Deep understanding of AWS services: EC2, S3, ECS, RDS, VPC, routing, NAT, load balancers, security groups, etc.
- Strong experience with IAM policies, roles, and permission boundaries.
- proficiency with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
- Solid understanding of automation, cloud troubleshooting, and infrastructure reliability.
