Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer (6+ years experience) to architect, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms, automation, DevOps practices, and cloud security, along with the ability to drive architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives and modernization of on-premise infrastructure.
- Design high-availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Design and manage containerized and microservices-based environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments.
- Implement cloud cost optimization strategies and governance controls.
- Define and enforce cloud security policies (IAM, encryption, network segmentation, compliance).
- Design and manage complex networking architectures (VPCs, hybrid connectivity, load balancers, DNS, firewalls).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and performance issues.
- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure best practices across teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and standards.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, security, and leadership teams on cloud strategy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
6+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
- Strong expertise in at least one major cloud provider:
- Amazon Web Services
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform
- Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or similar).
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
- Solid Linux/Unix systems administration knowledge.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with scripting or automation (Shell, Python, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Exposure to serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
- Experience leading cloud projects or technical teams.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, HIPAA, etc.).
