DevOps Cloud Engineer

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, minimizing downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and implement optimal cloud solutions.
• Modify and enhance existing systems to support scalability and performance.
• Educate internal teams on new cloud technologies and best practices.
• Design, develop, and deploy modular, cloud-native systems.
• Secure, scale, and manage Linux virtual environments.
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Perform regular database maintenance, backups, and recovery procedures.
• Work closely with stakeholders to align infrastructure solutions with business goals.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues.
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing systems; make strategic infrastructure recommendations.
• Optimize infrastructure cost and improve elasticity.
• Implement DevOps best practices and help foster a strong DevOps culture within the team.
• Ensure systems and services adhere to security best practices.
• Maintain high availability and redundancy across all critical components.
• Monitor production systems, ensuring uptime and performance per SLAs.
• Support emergency troubleshooting and maintenance of production systems.
• Participate in daily standups, refinement sessions, and team discussions.
• (Good to Have) Build resilient and scalable database schemas and implement performance tuning.
• (Good to Have) Synthesize and mask production-quality data for robust application testing.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4+ years of relevant DevOps experience.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end DevOps automation, including:
• Configuration management
• Build automation
• Release & deployment automation
• Infrastructure management
• Extensive experience with at least one cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficient with Linux OS and related command-line utilities.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, TravisCI).
• Solid experience in Server Management, Firewall configuration, and infrastructure hardening.
• Hands-on with orchestration and deployment tools such as:
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Ansible
• Terraform
• Good understanding of networking concepts, protocols, VPCs, and traffic flows.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, logs, and access management.
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash or Python.
• Experience working with Git-based workflows.
• Familiarity with server software like PostgreSQL, Redis is a plus.
• Experience working with MySQL, MSSQL, or Oracle is a plus.
• Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP) are preferred.
