Summary

Own day-to-day civil execution at industrial/commercial sites (greenfield/brownfield) and coordinate MEP (electrical & plumbing) and interior finishing trades to deliver on time, within budget, and to spec. The role demands strong planning, multi-contractor management, documentation, and strict safety/quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning & Scheduling: Convert IFC drawings into weekly look-ahead plans, quantities, and resource needs; track progress vs. baseline and publish DPRs.
  • Site Execution (Civil): Foundations, pedestals, trenches, equipment pads, drains, pavement/roads, fencing, structural & architectural works.
  • MEP & Interiors Coordination:
  • Electrical: panels/MCCs, trays/conduits, earthing/lightning, lighting/small-power, test reports (IR/Megger, earth resistance), fire alarm interfaces.
  • Plumbing: water supply/drainage, pumps, pressure/hydro tests, slope/ponding checks, waterproofing details.
  • Interiors: partitions/gypsum, doors/windows, flooring (tile/epoxy/PU), false ceiling, paint/finishes, control rooms/offices.
  • Sequence civilMEPinteriors; run method statements, ITPs, and hold points; lead clash checks on shop/RCP drawings and update red-lines/as-builts.
  • ** Contractor Management:** Handle 36 subcontractors in parallelscope, mobilization, toolbox talks, productivity, and daily reviews; enforce QA/QC and EHS.
  • Quality Control: Rebar & formwork checks, level/line/finish tolerances; WIR/MIR, cube tests, material approvals; snag lists and punch closure.
  • EHS Compliance: PTW, barricading, PPE, lifting plans, hot-work permits; incident reporting and close-outs.
  • Commercials & Materials: Indents, GRN, storage/reconciliation, wastage control; verify RA measurements/M-books; certify bills with QS/PM.
  • Stakeholder Interface: Coordinate with client/consultant, electrical/mechanical/automation teams; support FAT/SAT and handover packs.

Must-Have Skills

  • 35 years in industrial civil execution with proven coordination of electrical, plumbing, and interior finishing contractors.
  • Detail-orientation on drawings, levels, rebar, finishes; first-time-right mindset.
  • Working knowledge of IS/IEC/NBC and relevant testing protocols (IR/Megger, hydro, lux, earthing).
  • Tools: AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera (basics), Excel/Sheets; exposure to total station/laser level preferred.
  • Clear written & verbal communication with contractors and client/consultant; assertive follow-up and escalation.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Diploma + strong experience considered).
  • Desirable: OSHA/NEBOSH basics, First Aid, Work-at-Height; epoxy/waterproofing OEM training is a plus.

KPIs (Quarterly)

  • Schedule adherence: 95% weekly milestones met.
  • Quality: 2% rework on measured quantities; zero critical NCRs (civil/MEP/interiors).
  • Safety: Zero LTI; 100% toolbox & permit compliance.
  • Cost: Civil scope variance within 3% of BOQ; approved change control for deviations.

Behavioural Competencies

  • Ownership and bias for action; firm but fair with contractors.
  • Structured, checklist-driven, and calm under site pressure.
  • Collaborative with MEP/E&I teams; clear communication and follow-through.
