The City Lead is the senior leader for Allen Online's sales and market operations in the assigned city. You will own field marketing, admissions growth, and revenue targets while leading a team of Market Development Officers (BDOs) and Counsellors. The ideal candidate brings deep local market knowledge, strong education-industry relationships, and a consistent track record of building and coaching high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Recruit, onboard, and develop BDOs and Counsellors through structured coaching and regular performance reviews
- Set clear objectives and hold the team accountable to city targets, compliance standards, and company values
- Identify skill gaps and implement corrective action plans proactively
- Admissions and Revenue Growth
- Own city revenue targets and conversion metrics across all Allen Online courses
- Drive local demand through school partnerships, seminars, and community events
- Develop monthly city sales plans and refine sales processes in collaboration with senior management
- Drive field marketing initiatives to identify new prospects and build a strong funnel of relevant leads
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and make timely tactical adjustments
- New Business Development
- Support Business Development Officers and Counsellors on complex counselling, negotiations, and deal closures
- Serve as the escalation point for sensitive parent and student issues
- Maintain current knowledge of Allen Online's product portfolio and the competitive landscape
- Market Insights & Reporting
- Stay current on education trends across grades 6–10, Boards, JEE, and NEET; monitor competitor activity
- Share hyperlocal insights and product requirements with central teams
- Submit accurate, timely performance reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts to senior management
- Ensure consistent and accurate CRM data entry across the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 8+ years in business development or sales, with at least 3 years in a management role within the education industry
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of the assigned city's territory and the education market
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales methodologies
- Willingness to travel within and beyond the assigned territory
