Job Title: Chief of Staff to CMD

Location: Mumbai
Reports To: Chairman & Managing Director (CMD)


Role Overview:

The Chief of Staff (CoS) serves as a strategic partner and operational leader to the CMD, driving both business performance and execution excellence across the organization. The role involves overseeing key business operations, enabling effective decision-making, and ensuring seamless coordination across functions. Acting as an extension of the CMD's office, the CoS plays a critical role in translating strategic vision into actionable plans, optimizing operational efficiency, and delivering high-impact business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Execution
. Work closely with the CMD to define, prioritize, and execute key strategic initiatives
. Translate organizational vision into actionable plans and drive implementation across functions
. Track progress of strategic priorities and ensure timely delivery of outcomes
. Support long-term planning, business expansion, and growth initiatives

2. CEO Office & Business Operations Management
. Support the day-to-day operations of the CMD's office to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity
. Manage CMD priorities, including calendar, meetings, travel, and key deliverables
. Ensure effective coordination of activities across departments aligned with business objectives
. Identify operational gaps and drive process improvements for enhanced efficiency

3. Communication & Stakeholder Management
. Act as a bridge between the CMD and senior leadership team to ensure alignment and accountability
. Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration across teams
. Support internal and external communication on behalf of the CMD
. Build and manage key stakeholder relationships (internal & external)


Job Expectations:

4. Governance, Meetings & Leadership Coordination
. Plan and manage leadership meetings in coordination with the Management & HOD's.
. Prepare agendas, presentations, and briefing documents for executive discussions
. Ensure timely follow-ups on action items and drive closure across teams
. Liaise with senior leadership and support governance frameworks and decision-making processes

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
. Develop and track KPIs, dashboards, and business performance metrics
. Prepare regular reports, insights, and executive summaries for the CMD
. Monitor financial and operational performance to support data-driven decision-making
. Ensure alignment of business performance with strategic objectives

6. Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
. Lead and execute high-impact strategic and operational projects
. Conduct research, analysis, and feasibility studies for new initiatives
. Drive cross-functional projects that do not fall within a single department
. Support business transformation, partnerships, or expansion initiatives


7. Decision Support & Advisory
. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the CMD
. Assist in evaluating business opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities
. Act as a thought partner by challenging ideas and bringing diverse perspectives
. Ensure informed and timely decision-making at the leadership level

Qualifications & Experience:
. Master's degree in Business, Management, or related field.
. 8-15 years of experience in strategy, consulting, business operations, or similar roles
. Prior experience working closely with CXOs / senior leadership
. Proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and business outcomes


Minimum Qualification:

Master's in Business Management or relevant field

8-10 Years
