Job Description

Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements for the general insurance industry.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Monitor regulatory changes and provide guidance to the management team on necessary adjustments.
Oversee the compliance training programs to enhance awareness across the organization.
Collaborate with various departments to address compliance-related queries and issues.
Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of reports and filings.
Investigate and resolve compliance breaches, implementing corrective actions as required.
Provide strategic advice to the leadership team on compliance risks and mitigation strategies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Compliance Head should have:

A professional qualification in law, finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to the general insurance industry.
Proven experience in managing compliance functions at a senior level.
Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex regulations and provide actionable insights.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring high performance and adherence to compliance standards.
