Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chef De Partie, based in Chennai. The Chef De Partie will oversee daily food preparation and cooking within an assigned section of the kitchen. Responsibilities include ensuring high standards of food quality, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, managing inventory for the section, and assisting in menu planning. The ideal candidate will support junior staff, foster teamwork, and contribute to the overall operations of the kitchen while adhering to safety and health standards.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including food preparation and expert cooking knowledge
- In-depth understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices in a professional kitchen
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and instruction
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a high-paced environment
- Formal culinary training or a diploma/degree in a relevant field is highly desirable
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen and track record of managing a specific kitchen section
