About the Role
Channel Manager – Retail FX will be responsible for driving revenue from bank's remittance offerings, including Inward remittances, Outward remittances and FCNR Forwards through the bank's distribution channels – Branches and Partnerships.
The role is centred around driving revenue from Retail Fx products (Inward remittances, Outward remittances and FCNR Forwards), enhancing channel productivity, and identifying strategic opportunities for partnerships in the assigned region/ territory. The incumbent will oversee training initiatives, and track performance metrics to ensure business targets are met.
This position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Branch Banking and Channel teams, as well as external partners, to deliver impactful business outcomes. Stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Own and drive revenue from Retail Forex remittances (inward and outward) across the bank's distribution channels.
- Ensure achievement of defined business targets across branches.
- Conduct regular meetings and training sessions with bank staff in assigned branches to build product knowledge and sales capability.
- Develop and execute sales engagement programs such as local campaigns, contests, and events to boost channel productivity.
- Track granular business performance and publish dashboards to monitor and push business growth.
- Collaborate with Product and Analytics teams to empower channels with technology and data-driven insights.
- Identify market opportunities for partnerships in the remittance space and launch partner programs, including managing large front-end partnerships.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience in driving sales through branch channels.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in Retail Forex.
- Prior experience in handling both inward and outward remittance products.
- Apply analytical and logical approaches to sales strategy and execution.
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate in Finance/Commerce/Economics; BBA
- 3-5 years of experience in retail FX/remittance products,
- Strong understanding of Retail Forex products and remittance processes.
- Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to execute sales programs effectively
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in performance tracking and reporting.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities and partnerships.
