Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the gaming and sports industry, based in Mumbai. The CFO will oversee and manage all financial activities, including budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and developing strategies for long-term financial stability. The role requires close collaboration with executive leadership to guide decision-making and support company growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong strategic finance expertise, listed entity experience, and a proven track record in M&A, investor relations, and business partnering.
Ideal Profile
- Chartered Accountant / equivalent finance qualification.
- MBA in Finance or a related field is an added advantage
- 20–25 years of post-qualification experience.
- Prior experience in a listed entity is essential. Prior experience in the gaming or sports industry is preferred
- Strong exposure to M&A and strategic finance.
- Proven leadership experience, excellent communication, and stakeholder management abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall finance strategy, planning, and governance for the organization.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, MIS, and performance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Manage audits, taxation, treasury, cash flow, and working capital requirements.
- Drive M&A evaluation, structuring, due diligence, and integration support.
- Partner with the leadership team on strategic decision-making, fundraising, and business expansion.
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Engage with investors, auditors, bankers, and other key stakeholders.
