- Determine and manage the optimal product mix based on price, style, color, and size while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure the product assortment is well-balanced and on-trend to meet customer demands and enhance brand positioning.
Design Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of designers to facilitate the finalization of designs in line with the option plan and brand aesthetic, both in-house and outsourced.
- Oversee new product sampling, ensuring efficient utilization of sampling units and external vendor capacity.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, planning, marketing, visual merchandising, and commercial, to ensure seamless product information flow.
- Provide training and support to front-end teams (Sales, Retail, Key Accounts) for new product launches, ensuring they are well-informed and equipped.
Trend and Sales Analysis:
- Track, analyze, and report on fashion and sales trends, utilizing insights from color ratio analysis, size ratio analysis, and sales performance.
- Conduct competitive analysis to draw inferences and make data-driven decisions to enhance product offerings.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Oversee budgeting, monitoring, and control of product costs through efficient negotiation, resulting in improved intake margins and cost reduction in replenishments.
- Ensure cost closure within defined timelines and manage vendor relationships to achieve optimal pricing and delivery schedules.
Vendor and Production Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, conducting regular evaluations and performance assessments.
- Ensure strict adherence to the production calendar, leading initiatives to improve production processes and speed to market.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Ensure all departmental information and deliverables are accurate, timely ,and clear, with the support of junior team members.
