Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
- Closely observe patients medical conditions, moods, and needs, promptly reporting concerning changes to the nursing or medical team.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, helping to create a positive and soothing environment in the hospital.
- Handle routine tasks such as changing bed linens, cleaning patient rooms, and maintaining a clean surrounding for patient wellbeing.
- Administer basic first aid and support patient safety by spotting hazards and following hospital safety protocols at all times.
- Ensure timely delivery of medications, meals, and other essentials as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Document observations and care activities accurately, ensuring clear and effective communication with the broader healthcare team.
- Support patient movement within the hospital for appointments, diagnostic tests, or recreational activities, following all safety guidelines.
