As a Business & Testing Analyst in Trading Services and platform initiatives, you will promote high-quality outcomes by combining business analysis with end-to-end testing ownership.
Job responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end test delivery for strategic change initiatives, including strategy, planning, execution, and closure (SIT/UAT/regression).
- Lead business analysis and requirements shaping through workshops, elicitation/documentation, process mapping, business rules, and user stories/BRD inputs with testable acceptance criteria.
- Manage the test backlog in JIRA (stories/tasks/defects), ensuring clear status, prioritization, and timely workflow progression.
- Create and maintain test artifacts (scenarios, cases, test data approach, traceability) and obtain business signoffs.
- Coordinate with Technology and cross-functional teams to validate front-to-back platform flows (trade capture, confirmations, lifecycle events, settlements, reporting).
- Lead defect triage and resolution by logging, prioritizing, tracking to closure, and communicating impact/risks support gap analysis and root-cause discussions.
- Support and govern test automation where applicable (coverage alignment, execution monitoring, defect leakage tracking) without deep scripting ownership.
- Track timelines and dependencies proactively escalate risks and environment/data blockers impacting testing.
- Ensure adherence to internal processes (change control, configuration management, required data/system access procedures).
- Drive continuous improvement across testing and analysis practices (templates, checklists, metrics, lessons learned).
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts where required provide timely scorecards/status reporting support enhancement integration (training/SOP updates) build strong cross-functional relationships.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, technology, computer science, information technology, or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant testing and business analysis experience, within the Financial Services industry.
- Understanding of basic testing concepts, types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, performance), and testing methodologies.
- Test management experience supporting multiple lines of business in a highly complex and high-volume environment.
- Ability to learn new tools and concepts, and communicate clearly and effectively at both technical and business levels.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office suite and Windows desktop.
- Familiarity with major relational database management systems (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- MBA or formal training in Project Management.
- Previous testing and business analysis experience in Investment Banking business functions (Global Markets, Middle Office, Payments, Securities Services).
- Experience working within an Agile development lifecycle.
- Experience in global implementation programs, preferably in the finance domain.
