Role= Business Development Trainee
About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Trainee who is eager to learn and contribute to our growth initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals interested in B2B sales, lead generation, and digital outreach, especially in the sustainability and technology space.
The candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing team to identify potential clients, manage outreach campaigns, and support the overall business development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in lead generation and prospect research using AI tools and platforms such as Clay
- Create and manage databases of prospects using CRM tools like Zoho CRM
- Draft personalized outreach messages, emails, and LinkedIn communication for potential clients
- Support in creating presentations (PPTs) and reports (Excel) for client meetings and internal use
- Execute LinkedIn outreach campaigns including connection requests, follow-ups, and engagement
- Conduct email outreach and follow-ups to nurture leads and share company updates
- Track and update lead status, interactions, and pipeline progress in Trackers and CRM systems
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments
- Conduct basic market and competitor research to support business strategy
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align campaign messaging and outreach efforts
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospects to improve conversion rates
- Attend industry events, conferences, and summits to build brand awareness, generate leads, and support networking initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and professional communication
- Interest in sales, business development, and client interaction
- Willingness to learn tools like Clay, Zoho CRM, and AI-based platforms
- Good organizational and time management skills
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Exposure to CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot)
- Understanding of B2B sales processes
- Basic understanding of email marketing or outreach tools
