Its state-of-the-art development, design, and production facility is located in Poonamallee, Chennai.

Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Business Development Specialist role based in Pune City, with flexibility for some work from home. The Business Development Specialist will identify and qualify new business opportunities in the energy storage and battery solutions market, including OEMs, distributors, and end customers. The role involves conducting regular market research to understand customer needs, emerging trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics. The specialist will generate and nurture leads through calls, meetings, digital channels, and industry events, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline. The individual will prepare proposals, coordinate product demonstrations, support contract negotiations, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing customer satisfaction. The role also includes maintaining accurate CRM records, preparing sales reports, and providing feedback to product and marketing teams to refine offerings and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and market research capabilities to evaluate opportunities, segment markets, and interpret data-driven insights.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to build relationships, handle inquiries, and deliver clear presentations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven lead generation experience, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and managing a structured sales pipeline.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in business development or sales, preferably in energy storage, batteries, renewables, or related industrial sectors.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid model, with the ability to manage time, priorities, and stakeholder expectations both on-site and remotely.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and basic financial concepts related to pricing and margins.
