Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Specialist role based in Bhubaneswar. The Business Development Specialist will identify and qualify new business opportunities across EdTech and IT services, including prospecting, outbound outreach, and lead nurturing. The role involves conducting market research, mapping target segments, and supporting go-to-market strategies for training programs and technology solutions. The specialist will engage with potential clients and partners, deliver presentations and demos, and collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, pricing, and customized solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities also include maintaining an organized sales pipeline, tracking performance metrics, coordinating with delivery and marketing teams, and providing post-meeting follow-ups to support long-term relationships and revenue growth.
Qualifications
  • Strong Lead Generation and Market Research skills to identify prospects, analyze segments, and develop targeted outreach plans.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service abilities to build relationships, understand client needs, and provide professional support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to interpret sales data, evaluate market trends, and provide insights that inform business development strategies.
  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management, preferably in EdTech, IT services, or related technology sectors.
  • Comfort with CRM tools, productivity software, and online communication platforms to manage pipelines and client interactions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proactive, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
