Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Specialist at BackAI in Bengaluru. The role will involve developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, and collaborating with the engineering team to tailor software solutions to client needs.

Qualifications

  • Business Development, Sales, and Client Relationship Management skills
  • Knowledge of ERP software and the manufacturing sector
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and identify business opportunities
  • Experience in software sales or B2B sales
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite

Roles & Responsibilites

Lead Generation and Sales:

  • Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and market analysis.
  • Initiate contact with prospects and engage in consultative sales to understand client needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets, ensuring consistent sales growth.
  • Event Networking:Attend local and national industry events, trade shows, and mixers to engage prospects in person, collect contact info, and build the top of the funnel.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with existing clients to explore opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Market Expansion:

  • Research and analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to stay informed on market shifts and develop strategic connections.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams (such as marketing, product, and delivery teams) to ensure smooth project handovers and alignment on client goals.
  • Provide input for the development of marketing and sales collateral that supports business development initiatives.
