Job Description

Job Title : Sales and Business Development Intern Intern (Remote) | The Growth Engine Program

Location: Remote (India)

Type: Internship (3 Months + 3 Months Extension)

Stipend: Performance-based perks, incentives & high-value mentorship

About Focus Realm

We build powerful LMS purpose-built for K–12 schools and hotels. For schools, it simplifies how teachers teach and students learn. For hotels, it transforms how staff are trained, onboarded, and upskilled — bringing consistency, structure, and accountability to every floor, every shift, every team.

Looking ahead, we're moving toward AI-powered tools and predictive tracking that reduce workload, personalise learning, and help both educators and hospitality teams do their best work — every single day.

Role Overview

We're not looking for someone to just fill a seat. We're looking for someone who gets restless when nothing's moving.

We're looking for a Sales Intern to support our business development efforts. You'll work alongside the founding team, get exposure to real prospects and learn what it actually takes to move a deal from cold to closed.

What You Will Do

1. Lead Generation (The Hunter Work):

  • SQL Prospecting: Identify and qualify Sales Qualified Leads across Education markets and Hospitality. If the lead isn't the right fit, it doesn't go in the pipeline.
  • Outreach Ownership: Run cold outreach campaigns across LinkedIn, email, and WhatsApp. You write the copy, test the sequences, and own the response rate.
  • Pipeline Management: Keep the CRM clean, updated, and alive. No ghost entries. No stale follow-ups.

2. Market Intelligence (The Researcher Work):

  • Segment Deep Dives: Map out our target markets, understand what triggers buying decisions, and bring back insights — not just data dumps.
  • Competitor Tracking: Know what others in the space are doing and where the gaps are. Bring a point of view.
  • Weekly Reporting: Share clear, honest performance updates — what moved, what didn't, and what you're changing.

3. Execution (The Hustle):

  • Sit in on sales calls, decode objections, and draft follow-up communication with full context.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proposals and decks go out on time.

Who Should Apply

  • This role is for a Masters student or a young professional who wants to learn what growth actually looks like from the inside – not from a textbook, not from a YouTube breakdown, but from doing the work in real time.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles
  • Strong communicator — written and spoken
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setup
  • Familiar with LinkedIn, email, and basic CRM tools (not mandatory, but a plus)
  • Someone who takes initiative without waiting to be told

Terms & Conditions

Duration: This is a Locked-in 3-Month Commitment. We invest real time in training you; we expect you to stick around.

Extension: Mutual agreement for another 3 months based on performance.

Location: 100% Remote. 3–4 hours per day.

Compensation: This is an UNPAID learning opportunity.

Perks: You get hands-on sales training, direct exposure to how a growth-stage company wins clients, access to a high-level professional network and a personalized Letter of Recommendation that reflects your actual contribution.
