Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager to lead strategic B2B partnerships with educational institutions for our student housing business. This role is ideal for someone with strong institutional sales experience, especially in the education or allied sectors, and a proven ability to build senior stakeholder relationships and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own regional BD targets and execute sales plans to acquire institutional partners (colleges, universities, training centers).
  • Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation, cold outreach, and pitch to negotiation and onboarding.
  • Engage with key decision-makers including Chairmen, Vice Chancellors, and Deans to position Zolo as a preferred student accommodation partner.
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with institutions for recurring or scaled partnerships.
  • Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure seamless handover to operations for execution.
  • Maintain detailed funnel tracking and drive consistent pipeline hygiene and conversion.
  • Travel extensively within the assigned region (up to 1015 days/month) for on-ground relationship building.
  • Report progress and key insights to the BU Head and collaborate cross-functionally with operations and marketing.
