About the Role

XPPen is a global brand in digital drawing and handwriting technology, serving creators, students, educators, and professionals across more than 150 countries.

Our product portfolio includes graphic tablets, pen displays, and digital writing solutions used for creative work, online teaching, design, and learning.

As we continue to expand, XPPen is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth within the Indian EdTech ecosystem.

This role will focus on developing relationships with online teaching platforms, exam preparation companies, coaching institutes, and education-focused organizations across India. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships with decision-makers, and converting those opportunities into long-term business partnerships.

The role offers direct exposure to the company's founders and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a key growth area of the business.

Location: Nariman Point, Mumbai (On-site only)

Experience: 2–3 Years

Employment Type: Full-Time

Budget CTC: INR 5-6 Lacs p.a

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and prospect potential customers across the Indian EdTech sector.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including founders, business heads, procurement teams, academic teams, and operations leaders.
  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, referrals, outreach, and industry engagement.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer requirements and business challenges.
  • Present solutions and commercial proposals to prospective customers.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from initial outreach through negotiation and closure.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve agreed revenue targets.

Market Development

  • Track industry trends, customer requirements, and competitive developments.
  • Identify new segments, partnerships, and growth opportunities within the education sector.
  • Provide regular market feedback and customer insights to leadership.

Relationship Management

  • Develop long-term relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.
  • Represent the company during customer meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and industry events when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 2–3 years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Partnerships, Key Account Management, or a related role.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and other sales and marketing tools is preferred.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers and leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage opportunities and drive outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving ability.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings when required.

  • While the role offers significant ownership, candidates will work closely with the founders and receive regular guidance and feedback.
