About the Role

We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager who can identify opportunities, open conversations, build relationships, and help convert brands, partners, sponsors, and collaborators into business opportunities.

This role is not just about calling leads. It is about understanding the brand, identifying the right decision-maker, creating relevance, and moving conversations towards closure.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
  • Identify potential brands, sponsors, agencies, partners, and collaborators.
  • Build focused prospect lists based on industry, brand fit, audience match, and business relevance.
  • Research companies, decision-makers, marketing heads, partnership teams, and founder-level contacts.
  • Maintain a clean and updated lead pipeline.

Outreach & Relationship Building
  • Reach out to prospects through email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, calls, and referrals.
  • Personalize outreach based on brand relevance and opportunity fit.
  • Follow up consistently without sounding desperate or generic.
  • Build long-term relationships with brand teams, agencies, and decision-makers.

Sales Conversations & Meetings
  • Set up meetings with potential clients, sponsors, and partners.
  • Understand client requirements, marketing objectives, budgets, and timelines.
  • Assist in preparing pitch notes, proposal inputs, meeting briefs, and follow-up communication.
  • Support senior team members during calls, meetings, and deal discussions.

Proposal & Deal Support
  • Coordinate internally to prepare decks, proposals, sponsorship plans, and brand association options.
  • Track proposal status, next steps, meeting outcomes, and client responses.
  • Help move conversations from interest to proposal to negotiation to closure.

CRM & Reporting
  • Maintain daily updates on leads, calls, meetings, proposals, follow-ups, and closures.
  • Prepare weekly business development reports.
  • Track pipeline health, hot leads, warm leads, stuck deals, and next actions.

Required Skills
  • 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, sponsorships, media sales, event sales, influencer marketing, or brand solutions.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Ability to write crisp emails, WhatsApp messages, LinkedIn messages, and follow-ups.
  • Good research skills to identify the right brands and decision-makers.
  • Confidence to make calls, follow up, and initiate conversations.
  • Basic understanding of brands, marketing, events, sponsorships, and digital media.
  • Strong discipline with CRM, reporting, and daily follow-up.
  • Ability to work with targets, timelines, and pressure.

The candidate must understand that business development is not random selling. It requires:

  • Proof, credibility, and relevance
  • Understanding brand objectives
  • Building desire before pitching price
  • Moving every conversation towards a clear next step

Bonus Skills
  • Existing relationships with brands, agencies, media companies, luxury brands, BFSI, real estate, hospitality, or lifestyle brands.
  • Experience in sponsorship sales, event partnerships, influencer campaigns, or entertainment IPs.
  • Experience using HubSpot, Google Sheets, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or CRM tools.
  • Ability to understand decks, rate cards, media plans, and brand deliverables.
