About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding our global footprint by hunting for and securing high-value electronics board (PCBA) and system-level manufacturing contracts. This role demands a high-energy hunter mindset combined with disciplined account mapping and strategic execution. You will manage the entire sales lifecycle from localized market analysis and aggressive lead generation to orchestrating RFQ/RFP responses, driving multi-million-dollar deal closures, and overseeing long-term order books.

Key Responsibilities

  • International Lead Generation: Hunt for and secure net-new business leads from the assigned international territory for high-complexity electronics boards and system-level manufacturing (box-builds).

  • Regional Ecosystem Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis of the assigned geographical region, its industrial clusters, and the local ecosystem to pinpoint high-potential target customer accounts.

  • Account Mapping & Persona Identification: Conduct comprehensive account mapping to identify key decision-makers, engineering influencers, and procurement executives (C-level, VP of Supply Chain, Director of Engineering) for targeted outreach.

  • Omnichannel Outreach: Execute aggressive lead generation programs utilizing a mix of cold calling, warm calling, social selling (LinkedIn Navigator), event marketing, and active participation in international industry bodies/trade shows.

  • Pipeline Management: Proactively manage the international leads and opportunities pipeline. Track performance meticulously against set quarterly targets, conversion metrics, and sales velocity KPIs.

  • RFQ & RFP Orchestration: Own and manage the end-to-end Response to Quote (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes. Coordinate timelines across internal costing, engineering, and supply chain teams to deliver winning, competitive proposals.

  • Deal Closure: Lead commercial negotiations and drive high-value deal closures in close collaboration with senior leadership.

  • Account Management & Order Booking: Maintain long-term account health post-closure, managing multi-year order bookings and ensuring smooth ramp-ups to secure recurring revenue streams.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. An MBA in International Business or Marketing is highly desirable.

  • Experience: 4 - 6 years of aggressive business development or international sales experience specifically within the EMS, ODM, or Contract Manufacturing industries.

  • Track Record: Proven success in closing high-value accounts with international clients, specifically in high-reliability sectors (e.g., Industrial, Automotive, Medical, Aerospace & Defence).

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Global Sales & Cultural Acumen: Deep understanding of the business culture, compliance requirements, and purchasing behaviors of the assigned international region.

  • Inbound/Outbound Mastery: Expert-level skills in cold/warm calling, networking, and leveraging CRM platforms to manage pipelines.

  • Bid Management: Exceptional project management skills to handle complex, time-sensitive RFQ/RFP processes involving cross-functional technical teams.

  • Negotiation & Closing: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to structure complex, multi-year manufacturing agreements.
