About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager to drive sales and expand our customer base in the jewellery industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, building client relationships, and achieving sales targets for our gold, diamond, and lab-grown diamond jewellery products.
This is a work-from-home position requiring excellent communication skills, strong sales acumen, and the ability to independently manage the complete sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
Generate leads through networking, referrals, social media, online platforms, and industry contacts.
Reach out to prospective clients, retailers, wholesalers, distributors, jewellery brands, and corporate customers.
Conduct virtual meetings, product presentations, and sales discussions with potential customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Understand customer requirements and provide suitable product recommendations.
Prepare and share quotations, proposals, and pricing details with clients.
Follow up regularly on inquiries, quotations, and ongoing negotiations.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, and sales activities.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
Represent the company professionally and promote the brand in the jewellery market.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition.
Prior experience in the jewellery industry is preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and target-driven approach.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Good knowledge of MS Office, email communication, and CRM tools.
Strong follow-up and closing skills.
