The Opportunity Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a strategic role in driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and converting high-value prospects into long-term clients. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to design and execute targeted business development strategies aligned with Unified's growth objectives.

This role demands a strong balance of strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on prospect engagement. You will own the end-to-end business development lifecyclefrom market research and lead qualification to relationship nurturing and pipeline accelerationwhile contributing actionable insights to strengthen overall go-to-market effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify, qualify, and acquire new clients aligned with company objectives.
  • Own prospecting initiatives across multiple channels, including cold outreach, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and strategic networking.
  • Act as the first point of contact for potential clients, building trust, understanding business challenges, and positioning Unified as a trusted technology partner.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and delivery teams to ensure outreach, messaging, and solution positioning are aligned with client needs.
  • Analyze pipeline performance, lead quality, and conversion metrics to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership to support proactive decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver customized proposals, pitches, and presentations tailored to prospects business and technical requirements.
  • Nurture relationships with prospective clients to drive long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Unified's service offerings, industry trends, and competitive landscape to effectively articulate value propositions.

We're Searching for Someone With

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or a similar client acquisition role (preferably in IT services or consulting).
  • A strong data-driven mindset with the ability to meet and exceed pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills across diverse industries and geographies.
  • Hands-on experience with sales tools such as Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and CRM platforms like Freshsales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones aligned with global markets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a consultative and persuasive approach.
