The role focuses on driving business development across sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power (Solar), Chemical, Metals, and other Process Industries, including opportunity identification, tendering, proposal management, and client relationship development.

Purpose of the Position:
To lead Business Development for SGS India's Industrial Services portfolio across Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, Fertilizer, Metals, Mining, and other Process Industries, with a focus on expanding market share, driving revenue growth, and securing strategic opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Lead BD for the Industrial Services portfolio across target sectors.
- Identify, pursue, and convert major opportunities with coordination across Area Offices and SBUs.
- Conduct market surveys, competitor analysis, and identify capex/opex opportunities.
Sales Pipeline & Opportunity Management
- Generate and track leads, manage key accounts, and ensure conversion of enquiries.
Proposal, Tendering & Commercial Activities
- Prepare PQDs, EOIs, technical and commercial proposals.
- Review contracts, assess risks, and coordinate timely submission of tenders.
Project Costing & Estimation
- Prepare costing, budgeting, and resource estimation for projects.
- Support proposals and ensure cost optimization with Procurement and Operations teams.
Client Relationship Management
- Build strong senior-level client relationships and convert engagement into business.
Marketing & Internal Support
- Support regional offices with presentations, profiles, catalogues, reference lists, etc.
Team Leadership
- Lead Sales Executives & Proposal Engineers; enhance team performance and collaboration.
Qualification & Experience:
Educational Qualification:
Graduate/Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- MBA in Marketing preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in Business Development/Marketing.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Power (Solar), Metals, Chemical, and Process Plants.
- Experience with PSUs and Private sector for tendering, negotiation, and finalization.
