Job Title: Part-Time Business Development Manager Aviation
Location: NCR / Gurugram (with travel across South Asia & MENA)
Engagement: Full Time or Part-Time (Approx. 20 hours per week) (open to both options)
Role Overview
We are looking for a senior aviation professional to drive business development, key account management, and market expansion across South Asia and MENA.
This role combines strategic roadmap ownership, inside sales, and independent deal execution, with a clear mandate to build and grow airline relationships. The candidate will operate as an individual contributor, working closely with leadership, product, and pre-sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & New Account Acquisition
- Identify, qualify, and close new airline and aviation accounts across South Asia and MENA
- Build and manage a strong pipeline across:
- Passenger servicing and engagement
- Ancillary revenue and digital commerce
- IRROPS / disruption communication
- Lead end-to-end sales cyclesfrom prospecting to closure
2. Key Account Management (Named Accounts)
- Own and grow relationships with assigned airline accounts
- Drive upsell, cross-sell, and long-term account expansion
- Act as a strategic advisor to airline stakeholders across Commercial, Digital, and IT
3. Client Inside Sales & Deal Progression
- Drive inside sales motions including:
- Follow-ups, demos, and proposal shaping
- Commercial discussions and negotiations
- Coordination with pre-sales and product teams
- Ensure consistent deal progression and closure discipline
4. Aviation Roadmap & Market Inputs
- Contribute to product and market roadmap based on airline needs and competitive insights
- Provide structured feedback on:
- PSS / DCS integrations
- Digital engagement trends
- Ancillary and revenue optimization opportunities
- Act as the voice of the customer into product and leadership
5. Ecosystem & Partnerships
- Leverage and build relationships within the airline ecosystem including:
- PSS and technology providers such as Amadeus IT Group and Navitaire
- Airline IT, OCC, and commercial teams
- Represent the company at industry forums and conferences
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 12+ years in aviation industry
- Background in one or more of:
- Airline commercial / revenue / ancillary sales
- Airline IT / digital transformation
- Aviation SaaS / travel technology
Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of:
- Airline commercial systems (PSS, DCS, CRM)
- OCC / disruption management workflows
- Digital engagement channels (web, app, messaging platforms)
- Familiarity with:
- Amadeus IT Group (Altea / Navitaire ecosystem)
- Navitaire and similar platforms
Network & Influence
- Strong relationships across airline stakeholders in South Asia and/or MENA
- Ability to open doors and influence CXO-level decision-making
Skills
- Independent contributor with high ownership
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage long enterprise sales cycles
- Structured thinking with execution focus
