About the role

Position: Business Development/Growth Manager

CTC: Up to INR 8.5 LPA

Annual Retention Bonus 10%. This is part of the above CTC and released on completion of one year. Subject to being on the payroll and not serving notice period.

City: Delhi

We're looking for a relationship-driven Business Development/Growth Manager to lead our client acquisition and revenue growth efforts. As a key member of the growth team, you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving the end-to-end sales process for Scatter.

This role is ideal for someone who understands content marketing and can confidently pitch creative solutions to both marketing and business teams.

What will you be responsible for

Lead Generation

  • Identify new leads and develop a pipeline of potential clients across sectors
  • Research industry trends and competitors to identify new markets and client segments.
  • Work with leadership to develop and refine the company's go-to-market strategy and positioning.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers (marketing heads, brand managers, CXOs).
  • Attend client meetings (virtual/in-person), industry events, and pitch sessions as the face of the agency.

Sales Performance & Reporting

  • Set monthly/quarterly revenue targets and conversion goals.
  • Maintain a clear sales pipeline and use CRM tools to track outreach, leads, and performance metrics.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, feedback from clients, and market intelligence.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the creative, strategy, and Founding team to scope proposals, price services, and craft tailored solutions.
  • Brief internal teams on client expectations post-deal closure to ensure smooth handovers and consistent delivery.

What will your first 30-60-90 days look like

First 30 Days Build Context

  • Deep dive into Scatter's services, case studies, and past pitches to understand our content marketing approach, tone, and positioning.
  • Shadow internal meetings to understand how different teams (strategy, content, design, client servicing) operate.
  • Familiarize yourself with our current sales tools, CRM systems, and internal reporting templates.
  • Begin building a pipeline using inbound leads, referrals, and existing database.
  • Introduce yourself to key stakeholders, partners, and long-term clients to start building rapport.

Next 30 Days (Day 3160) Begin Engagement & Outreach

  • Actively start reaching out to potential leads through email, LinkedIn, and relevant networks.
  • Prepare and present tailored pitches to warm prospects with support from strategy and creative teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to respond to inbound leads and RFPs with well-scoped proposals.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to refine positioning and prospecting strategies based on early learnings.
  • Set monthly outreach and conversion targets and begin tracking progress toward quarterly goals.

By 90 Days Build & Own the Sales Engine

  • Own and manage the sales pipeline independently with clear forecasting and reporting.
  • Convert new leads into active clients along with the leadership team
  • Build relationships with marketing heads, brand teams, and CXOspositioning yourself as a trusted partner.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the sales process and suggest system or structural upgrades (e.g., better CRM tracking, sales decks, vertical-specific outreach).
  • Start contributing to larger growth discussions with leadership, including identifying new service opportunities or untapped markets.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 35 years of business development, sales, or client acquisition experience in a content marketing agency, digital agency, or media house.
  • Proven track record of winning business in B2B/B2C spaces.
  • Existing network or industry connections that can convert into warm leads.
  • Self-starter with a hunger to chase new leads, close deals, and build long-term partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with potential leads and clients alike.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and identifying opportunities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate efforts across multiple departments.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot and Salesforce is a plus.
